On Saturday Kelsey and I ran a 5K in town for a young family who's mother has MS. It was a great thing to get out there and do this with Kelsey. That morning it was 12 deg. with wind chill! BURRRR!!! The BUYI news was there and interviewed me. Here is the link if you want to check it out http://kickapps.byuicomm.com/_MS-5K-Run-Successful/blog/1074422/96698.html
Kelsey stayed with me the whole time! And we even pulled off a decent time (for being 32 weeks preggers) of 28.48! Kels You are the best!!!
I haven't ran in an organized competitive race in almost 12 years. I know that's like forever... but in 8th grade track we would sit against the wall Mrs. McNeely would call out our name and the event we would run. I remember sitting there with my stomach in knots praying she didn't call my name for the mile run. Every time she would. I hated it. Consequently that's where I picked up tennis in High school. But I just remember, once at districts I was throwing up and crying after the mile, I had a genuine hate for that race and so from then on I have avoided running competitions. But I love, and always have loved to run. Just not in competitions:) Maybe this will be the start of something new....
