This year we are in Fort Worth to celebrate! We love being in TX when it's the 4th so it's been super special to be here with new and old friends.
We were invited by a family at church to watch their neighborhood parade. He was just released as the bishop and is a radiologist, he and Conrad chatted the whole time swapping stories. Jordan their daughter is off to BYU in the fall and got a full ride ballet scholarship, but turned it down. The girls loved their tree swing and only got off it with promises of a bounces house and popcicles on the next street:)
After that we ran over to some of our best friends parents house. We had a major pool party, a sling shot water ballon toss and some crazy amazing BBQ chicken and ribs. Ashley has a niece Kylie's age and they have so much fun together doing tricks into the pool and playing. Plus she has a bunch of other nephews so Reese and Nixon are covered with playmates as well! Bobby and Ashley's boys are sooo stinkin cute. Grey is the chilliest little baby ever. I love how he will let me hold him anytime. Wyatt is their 2 year old and is full of energy and says the funniest things. Oh man! Conrad was in complete heaven when bobby took him to the garage where it was chuck full of motorcycles and 4 wheelers... Oh boys!
After the pool party we headed home to meet up with layton, who is doing the JPS audition rotation too! We did another parade and the girls decorated the stroller and threw out candy. After that we walked over to the river and watched fire works. It was such a fun PACKED day!
I think we ran into the real Santa. It was crazy business.
The lighting was amazing!
Man alive, I love this country we live in. I am so thankful for the freedoms we enjoy and for the people who have fought for that. What a blessing!
