SEEL School

Well, I managed to gather up 4 of the most adorable girls around and have a mommy preschool. We call it "SEEL School". We are using the BYU curriculum which stands for Systematic Engaging Early Literacy.

Lets meet the little darlings!

Humm, just a little bit too adorable if you ask me.
So, there is the crew and here is my lesson plan. Keep in mind that I am in NO way a teacher, sure, I teach my kids everyday but teaching doesn't come naturally to me. So, if you have any suggestions at all I would love them. For reals.

(10)     Playtime

We start with Letter Panda. I sewed a pouch on him and he eats anything that the girls pull out of the bag that starts with the letter of the week. They think he is pretty funny:)
Then we move on to writing the letter of the week. We do rotating stations with the ipad, salt draw, dry erase and play dough.

We also found the letter of the week in print and we did our craft, which was making Airplanes so we could Aim them at targets.

Then reading time. They LOVED this.

And Princess Color Sheep. She takes them around the house finding items that are the color of the week.
Next, we did our science experiment. The kids always get excited about that. Today I found this experiment from The Artful Parent. It is super simple and requires very little prep. Other than freezing ice blocks you just need salt and paint, we used food coloring. When they put salt on the ice they can see that the ice melts faster and when they paint it the crevasses stand out more.

We ended with Music Makers.
I can tell this is going to be a great year!
