Happy Birthday Reese!

Because my blog doesn't keep up with the speed of life, I'm just now posting sweet Reese's birthday.

Honestly Reese is one of the sweetest, smartest funnest girls I know. In fact last Sunday she gave a phenomenal primary talk. She stood up there and spoke loud and clear into the microphone for 3 min about her love for Jesus and God. She spoke about how they came to Joseph Smith and had him restore the church of Jesus Christ. 

She loves wrestling Nixon and playing make believe with Kylie. She is a whiz in the kitchen and is up for any adventures her dad takes her on!

 She wanted a unicorn party. So I made a game board and they played the game, moving the unicorn through all the excitement! They first slayed dragons (balloons) and painted rainbows, found and pinned the horn on the unicorn, put clouds back into the sky (science experiment with the soda and Mentos) and of course ate cake!

Living

 Here is our "new" home. We moved in mid July and have seriously been loving the space. It has been fun to get my creative on and do some pretty fun projects! I found this door mat at a garage sale and stenciled on the H.

 We made the cornice board hanging over the sliding doors. I made the art work on the walls and Conrad's mom made the deer head hanging next to the TV (its like crazy amazing).

 

Conrad and I reupholstered the 2 gray chairs. I need to post before pictures because it was quite the task.  The temple print is one my sister in law took and I got an engineer print from Staples and used spray glue to adhere it to an Ikea board.

I am seriously in love with this map. It is all the places we have lived. I could write a whole post on just this and maybe one day I will. But man alive do I love meaningful art work in our home.

And as you can see after EIGHT years of marriage we broke down and bought a TV. Crazy us.

Design 2

My Sis in law happens to be, well amazing at pretty much everything and I since I'm on this decorating kick I HAD to show you what her and my brother are working on... Well what do we have here?! Oh yes, the cutest kids on planet earth... Yes they made these...

And this adorable nursery..

 Um yes, I'm in love with these curtains she MADE!!! Yes. And she used the pennets from Kurt's bedroom from when he was a kid. Love.

                                           

Design

Sooo... we get to move into a REAL life sized house in 4 weeks!!! Eeee (we still haven't decided who the lucky landlords will be but Ill keep you posted!!) All this hoopla is getting me excited to decorate and such. I have been able to get some inspiration right in my own back yard! My friend Kaylee (I'm sure your all thinking, you mean Barbie) But yes she is a decorator master and they just got out of Pharmacy school and bought a beautiful home and have been working so hard on making it perfect!! I couldn't help but share some pictures, it is just too amazing not to share!!

DIY

 Conrad and I made this headboard one day. It makes such an impact in our room and I'm totally in love with it!

For my birthday Kylie took me hot tubing. Maybe one of my most favorite things to do but I was just laughing at how she was sitting when she go too hot! Can we say flexible?!
