Today

Today we went to the zoo and hiked Papago. The sunset was amazing. I am in love with the colors in the Arizona sunsets.

Yesterday we hiked A Mountain and I forgot about a primary activity:(

But check out that view of ASU. I love doing things like this with our family. It fills me up.

Ironman

On Sunday we went to cheer on the Ironman athletes. Conrad got to help in the medical tent and had some good stories. He is in serious heaven helping out there. I love that he wants us to come and be a part of this with him. I love our family.

Kelsey came too! She is always game to do any of our adventures. I love having her in my and our children's everyday lives.

One guy missed the 2:20 swim cut off by 3 seconds! What a heart breaker!

 I finally made a growth chart! I'll snap a picture of it and put it on the blog. I love it!

 The main thing the girls wanted to do over fall break was: DOG SIT?! Ok then!

 We did it! And although this dog was super sweet, I am pretty sure I couldnt handle 3 kids and a dog.

Conrad took me on a golf date:

What a guy!! I love that he makes special time for each of us even though this matching residency business can sure be stressful!

Swing

We put a swing in our living room (after much persuading). Conrad HAND screwed the hooks into the ceiling studs. It was a heafty job. But let me tell you it was TOTALLY worth it! We love it.

 It is usually the first thing they do when they wake up.

 Kylie always finds a way to do the splits. I LOVE this!!

Man alive, I love how care free swings make you feel. So it's a perfect fit in our living room.

Ward campout

Conrad put together an intense game of Corn Hole.

That night we had a devotional. We learned a little more about this amazing country we live in!

These cute girls found a slice of heaven in the woods and stayed there for 2 days...

Fossil Creek

Last weekend we took a little jaunt up North. After the 2 hour drive on a regular road we got to a dirt road that we were on for an hour. It was a little bumpy but it was worth what was waiting for us. The hike was just a mile each way and this little beauty hiked or ran the whole way!

As soon as we got to the water we stopped for lunch. Oh heavens it was so pretty. Can I tell you how much I love my family and nature. So, to have my family in nature, it is like the best thing ever!

After crossing 3 bridges and walking a beautiful mile we got to the waterfall!

We brought some goggles and we were diving down and checking out the fishes. You could easily see  under the water. It was super cold but both girls took the plunge many times. I love how adventurous Reese is getting.

We found this little rock slide that Conrad was taking the girls down.

After we did the rope swing we headed back home on the bumpy road but this time the road was super muddy from a storm that hit it. And we saw SO many accidents and then the Suburban got a flat tire! The rims are custom so we didn't have anything to change it. After waiting, and praying, 3 hours later our tire man came to our rescue. We were deflated when he said he didn't have the right socket to get the rims off but after some good ole' ingenuity he hammered another socked onto the bolt and got off our tire! We finally made it home and I'm not so sure I want to go back because of how scary that road was but of course Conrad is ready to roll:)
