We had some good turns on the mountain this week. Elle was our MVP. Although Nixon and Ky are a close second almost nailing their 180*. Reese took home the gold with her switch (skiing the whole run backwards) And Crew is a stellar switch skier as well. These kids blow my mind. They are sure blessed to have Conrad as their dad and ski instructor.

This week Nixon wanted to go to the local hardware store and buy a knife. He is very prudent with his money.
At the end of each month we get together with a family friend and do sort of a "Show and Tell" The kids get to display what they have been working on that month and get to present and answer any questions.
Crew was so brave and recited his whole honesty quote! SO proud!!

Saying goodby to dad for the week.
Mid week we went up to Park City to meet up with friends from Detroit and friends from med school.
My kids are obsessed with poetry tea time. Their favorite poem book is anything by Shel Silverstien but I was really excited that Nixon wanted to use more of a classic poem book today.
Well Educated Heart continues to be a slam dunk when it comes to teaching history and teaching to the hearts of these amazing kids.

Reese has beautiful handwriting. She is so neat and organized with her work.
The amount of effort Nixon is putting into his work this half of the year compared to the first half makes my heart want to jump out. Something just seemed to click and he wants to put the effort in. Is it his age? Was he inspired?
For science this week Nixon made a solar oven. It was crazy, we set it outside in 20 degree sunny weather and that thing really worked!

Elle was our morning juice maker bright and early Wednesday morning.
Nixon helped Elle shoot her first BB gun.
Wow! Nixon really hit the science scene hard this week. He made a rotating replica of the sun, earth and moon.
Kylie even got in on the fun! We LOVE when Kylie is home.
Nixon smoked me in chess Monday morning. It was a great start to his week:)
